Normal – George E. Kinsel Sr., 77 of Normal passed away at 8:30 AM on January 8, 2018 at his residence.

There will be a funeral service for George on Thursday January 11, 2018 at 10 AM at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington. Reverend Richard Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday at the Memorial Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.

He was born June 6, 1940 in Humboldt, IL to Bert W. and Flossie Kirk Kinsel. They preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

George is survived by four children George Kinsel Jr of Normal, Kimberly (Derek) Young of Downs, Joy Edwards of Bloomington, Mike (Debbie) Boggs of Bloomington, six grandchildren, Dakota Young, Harleigh Young, Lily Young, Emily Young, Dwayne Edwards, Allen Edwards, four great-grandchildren, one brother Vernard (Mary) Kinsel of Taylorville and three sisters, Rosie Smith of Pekin, Roberta Hentgen of Mattoon and Juanita Huffman of Eureka, South Dakota.

George worked in assembly for fifteen years at Eureka-Williams in Bloomington and retired in 1978. He was a member of the Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge in Bloomington. He especially enjoyed dancing and country music and also loved Solitaire and puzzles.
